During my Bachelor's in Environmental Engineering, my dedication, adaptability, and ingenuity shone through. The program fostered versatility and endowed me with key competencies, including water quality assessment and management, water and wastewater treatment processes, environmental management, and robust data collection and analysis techniques. My culminating dissertation project involved the design of a municipal wastewater treatment facility employing an Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactor and subsequent polishing ponds. This work underscored my capability to devise practical solutions for environmental preservation, demonstrating my technical acumen and commitment to sustainable engineering practices.

In pursuing my Master's degree, I specialised in water resources management, and water and wastewater treatment technologies. My dissertation project focused on developing an innovative municipal wastewater treatment process targeting cholera vibrio. This involved the application of coagulation, flocculation, and precipitation processes, utilising lime and aluminum sulfate to adjust pH levels either above 12 or below 4, thereby neutralising the pathogen. The program also enriched my experience through interactions with a diverse cohort, allowing me to immerse in various cultures and significantly enhancing my English proficiency.

During my PhD program, I pioneered an evidence-based approach for risk assessment, aimed at crafting water safety plan strategies for rural communities in semi-arid regions. I developed a quantitative microbial risk assessment, culminating in the creation of a predictive model. This model was used to gauge the likelihood of infection posed to the population residing in the rural areas of the semi-arid region of northeastern Brazil by water-borne pathogens. This initiative was directed towards mitigating the prevalence of diarrhoeal diseases in these areas. The complexity of this research presented numerous challenges; however, my perseverance, coupled with the exceptional guidance of my supervisory team, enabled the successful completion of this compelling study within the projected timeline.

Currently enrolled in the EITCA/AI Artificial Intelligence Academy, an advanced online certification programme from Brussels, designed to impart expert knowledge and skills in the forefront of artificial intelligence and machine learning. This comprehensive course covers a wide array of AI domains, including Google Cloud Machine Learning, Google Vision API, TensorFlow, machine learning and deep learning with Python, TensorFlow Quantum Machine Learning, and advanced topics in deep learning and reinforcement learning. The programme emphasises both the development and application of AI technologies to solve real-world challenges, ensuring a blend of technical mastery and practical proficiency. Upon completion, I will be equipped with the skills to innovate and excel in the AI field.

I am currently undertaking the "AI Engineer Training" at Data Science Academy, focusing on cutting-edge AI technologies and applications. This comprehensive program includes deep dives into time series analysis, infrastructure automation with Terraform, AWS, Azure, and Databricks, AI-driven image analysis, cybersecurity data science, deep learning for AI applications using PyTorch and Lightning, and natural language processing with Transformers. This course equips me with the skills to innovate and apply AI solutions in various domains, positioning me at the forefront of AI technology.

I have completed the "Preparing for Google Cloud Certification: Cloud Engineer Professional Certificate" offered by Google. This intensive program equipped me with the essentials of cloud architecture and Google Cloud Platform, enabling me to design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic solutions to drive business objectives. This accomplishment reflects my commitment to deepening my knowledge and practical skills in cloud solutions, enriching my ability to leverage GCP's offerings for innovative and efficient cloud-based projects.

This course provided an in-depth understanding of IT support fundamentals, including computer hardware, networking, operating systems, system administration, and security. Emphasising hands-on learning, the curriculum was designed to equip participants with practical skills necessary for entry-level IT support roles. The program also highlighted problem-solving in software and hardware, customer service, networking, system administration, and security fundamentals. While my primary goal was not to pursue a career in IT support, this knowledge has been invaluable for advancing my project development skills, allowing me to effectively address and solve technical issues as they arise.

Completed the Google Business Intelligence Professional Certificate offered by Google, a comprehensive program focused on in-demand skills like data modelling, visualisation, and reporting. The course, designed by Google, encompasses practical exercises in business analytics, ETL processes, and dashboard creation using tools such as BigQuery, SQL, and Tableau. It prepares graduates for roles in BI, enhancing their ability to drive organisational decision-making through insightful data analysis.

This comprehensive course, developed by Google, equipped me with essential skills in data analytics, covering the entire data analysis process including asking the right questions, preparing, processing, analysing, and visualising data, as well as making informed decisions based on data insights. Proficient in key tools and platforms such as spreadsheets, SQL, R programming, Tableau, and the application of statistical analysis and data visualisation techniques to real-world business scenarios. The program emphasised hands-on experience through projects and case studies, ensuring the practical application of analytical skills in professional settings.

This intensive course covered key aspects of data analytics including data collection, preprocessing, analysis, and visualisation techniques. Successfully completed the "Data Scientist Training" program at Data Science Academy, covering a comprehensive curriculum from Big Data analytics using R and Azure, real-time analytics with Python and Spark, to Machine Learning. This advanced training also included courses on Business Analytics, Data Visualisation, Dashboard Design, Data Engineering with Hadoop and Spark, preparing me for a career in data science with practical skills in data analysis, visualisation, and engineering, equipped to tackle complex data-driven challenges.

The 'Mathematics and Statistics for Data Science Training' was an extensive journey designed to lay a solid foundation in the mathematical and statistical principles vital to the field of data science. Covering topics from linear algebra, calculus, and probability to advanced statistical techniques, this program equipped me with the analytical skills necessary to interpret, analyse, and solve complex data challenges. A significant aspect of the course was the hands-on experience with R and SAS, powerful tools for data analysis and statistical computing, which enriched my practical skills in applying these concepts to real-world data science scenarios. Beyond developing a deep understanding of fundamental theories, the course emphasised the practical application of these concepts in real-life situations, preparing me to deploy this knowledge in real-life situations and drive data-informed decisions.

Engaged in self-directed learning on web development via W3Schools and Codecademy (2019-2022), focusing on HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This extensive self-study program included various courses aimed at mastering website development and deployment, enhancing my ability to create dynamic, responsive web applications. My journey through these platforms provided me with a practical understanding of web technologies, solidifying my skills in front-end development through hands-on exercises and project work.

I successfully completed the "Microsoft Power BI for Data Science" course at the Data Science Academy, where I developed expertise in utilising Power BI for data analysis and the creation of visual representations. The course equipped me with comprehensive skills in data preparation and taught me to construct interactive dashboards, enabling thorough data exploration and visualisation. Through mastering these techniques, I am now adept at uncovering valuable insights from data, significantly bolstering my capacity to contribute to data-driven decision-making processes. This achievement has further enhanced my capability to develop dynamic dashboards, thereby amplifying the impact of data insights on strategic decisions.

Completed the 'Fundamentals of Data Analysis with Python' course at Data Science Academy. This beginner-level program, structured in three parts—introductory, basic, and intermediate—focuses on developing programming skills in Python, crucial for data analysis and data science. It offers a practical learning experience through examples, quizzes, exercises, and projects to test and apply knowledge in data science projects, with no prerequisites required.
